Oceanside Police Close Two Massage Parlors After Human Trafficking Probe

The Oceanside Police Department concluded a yearlong investigation that led to the shutdown of two massage businesses, Nirvana Spa and Seaside Acupressure, due to allegations of prostitution and potential human trafficking. The investigation, which began in September 2024, involved multiple operations and over two dozen employee interviews, resulting in several arrests on suspicion of prostitution. Both establishments have had their business licenses permanently revoked, and their owners are barred from operating within Oceanside city limits. Although some employees were identified as potential trafficking victims, they declined support services at the time. Police Chief Taurino Valdovinos stated these closures send a clear message that illegal activities will not be tolerated in Oceanside. Authorities continue to encourage the public to provide information through the Vice Unit or Crime Stoppers to help combat similar illicit activities.
