Amarillo Police Investigate Pharmacy Robbery at Walgreens

An early morning robbery occurred at the Walgreens pharmacy at 34th Avenue and Bell Street in Amarillo, Texas, with police responding shortly after 5:30 a.m. The suspect, described as a Black male around 6 feet tall with a slim build, wore a black hoodie, blue surgical mask, and black gloves, and carried a black garbage bag. He approached the pharmacy counter, handed over a note stating he was armed, and demanded medications before fleeing with an unknown quantity in a dark-colored sedan last seen heading north on Danvers Street. No injuries were reported during the incident. The Amarillo Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating and urges anyone with information or relevant video footage to come forward, with tips accepted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
