Drunk Driver Hits Massachusetts State Police Cruiser

Charles Keeton, a 31-year-old man from Dedham, was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and crashing his Dodge Durango into a Massachusetts State Police cruiser on Interstate 93 south in Milton. The crash occurred around 3 a.m. while troopers were responding to a separate two-car accident. After striking the cruiser, Keeton reportedly continued driving until being stopped by another trooper just south of Exit 3. The trooper in the cruiser sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical treatment. Keeton was charged with operating under the influence (OUI) and is expected to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday. Police-released images show significant damage to the cruiser, including a dislodged wheel.
