Frederick Man Charged with Attempted Child Abduction After DUI Arrest

Gary Lee Plummer, a 55-year-old man from Walkersville, Maryland, was arrested by Maryland State Police after being pulled over for suspected driving under the influence on Woodsboro Pike. During the traffic stop, the trooper observed signs of impairment and arrested Plummer for DUI. Shortly after the arrest, police received a report from two juvenile females who claimed that Plummer had attempted to physically coerce one of them into his vehicle in the same area prior to the traffic stop. Plummer has been charged with attempted child abduction, attempted kidnapping, two counts of second-degree assault, and DUI, and is currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center awaiting a court appearance.
